The Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program is introduced since March 2017 to attract skilled immigrants to the Atlantic Provinces for permanent settlement. This program is expected to accelerate the settlement of migrants in these areas of Canada.  According to the updates from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) around 2000 candidates are expected to be enlisted for Permanent Residence through this program. The application process will be carried on for a span of three years to meet the local labor shortage demand. The Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program is created by the Canadian government in tandem with the four Atlantic Provinces to address the skilled labor shortage. The program allows an employer to hire qualified skilled workers to fill up the job vacancies in their companies that cannot be filled up due to lack of local resource availability. A working professional can be based outside Canada or in Canada on a temporary basis. The four Atlantic provinces are

Eligibility Requirement for Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program

Atlantic High Skilled Program – This program is designed for highly skilled professionals meeting the below parameters

  • Working in management or any other skilled jobs for at least a year

  • Having a high school Canadian diploma or an overseas equivalent degree

  • Meet the language score requirement
  • Educational Credential Assessment Report

  • Can display sufficient financial asset to support self and family while in Canada

  • Holds a valid full-time job offer from a designated employer

Atlantic Intermediate Skilled Program- This program is meant for the Intermediate skilled workers with below qualifications

  • Worked in a job for a minimum of 1-year duration which needs a specific job training

  • Having a high school Canadian diploma or an overseas equivalent degree

  • Meet the language score requirement
  • Educational Credential Assessment Report

  • Can display sufficient financial asset to support self and family while in Canada

  • Holds a valid full-time job offer from a designated employer

Atlantic International Graduate Program – This program is identified for internationals graduates meeting the following requirements

  • Holds a valid degree or diploma from an authorized institute in the Atlantic provinces

  • Resided in an Atlantic province for 16 months in the 2 years prior to getting the education degree or diploma

  • Meet the language score requirement
  • Can display sufficient financial asset to support self and family while in Canada

  • Holds a valid full-time job offer from a designated employer
